AMIA’s Archival Screening Night is an opportunity for archivists to showcase recent acquisitions, discoveries, and preservation efforts. The program strives to represent the magnificent spectrum of formats, works, and collections protected and preserved by the AMIA community.
Since 1991, AMIA members have shared clips from their archival collections at their annual conference. It has been an opportunity for archivists to share with each other and to showcase recent acquisitions, discoveries, and preservation efforts – many of the clips never seen in public.
The ASN Roadshow is a chance to open the archive doors and share a sample of the magnificent spectrum of film and video collections protected and preserved by the AMIA community with the public. It is also a chance to highlight the work being done to ensure that our media heritage is available now and in the future – from home movies to blockbusters to local news to educational films to eyewitness videos to cultural recordings.
ASN Roadshow premiered in theatres and was broadcast on TCM in 2020. The second edition of ASN Roadshow premiered in 28 cinemas around the world and will be broadcast in December, 2021 on TCM.
