SALARY:  $117,962 – $153,354 per year

This position is part of the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA), located within the Office of Research Services (R). This position serves as a first line supervisor in the Moving Image and Sound Branch of the Special Media Records Division. The incumbent is responsible for assisting in the planning, directing, coordinating, and controlling all of the archival functions of the employees assigned to the Branch.

As a Supervisory Archivist, you will:

  • Ensure and manage the active participation of the staff in archival assignments across a subgroup of functional areas such as processing, reference, accessioning, holdings management or digital access.
  • Assist in implementing the Moving Image and Sound Branch’s program for preserving and providing access to federal records and donated materials.
  • Provide supervisory oversight and project management for the archival staff and collaborate with other supervisors throughout the Special Media Records Division.
  • With the Branch Chief, establish and monitor priorities and work plans for the unit.
