This is a virtual, paid ($15.00/hr.) internship position beginning in June through August 2021.

The Academy’s Oral History Projects department is seeking an organized and enthusiastic Intern to assist and support the Oral History Projects department with a large preservation and access initiative focused on oral history interviews with notable filmmakers. The internship will focus on preparing audiovisual interviews that have been deposited at the Academy’s Film Archive for future access by scholars, researchers, curators, and the general public.

Under the guidance of the Senior Archivist, Oral History Projects, you will focus on collections research and processing, data entry and inventorying, and generating reports regarding the content and scope of archival collections. You will also conduct research focused on the lives and careers of the filmmakers documented in the collections and provide input on the development of an Oral History Digital Archive project. This Internship offers the opportunity to learn the functional and operational aspects of an archival oral history initiative.
