About the Role:

TAMI is hiring a part-time Digital Communications, Content, & Events Contractor to lead storytelling, public engagement, and brand strategy. This role is ideal for someone who is creative, organized, and driven by data and impact. You’ll manage and create content across TAMI’s digital channels—social media, newsletters, press releases, website updates, and video/graphic assets—ensuring our mission reaches diverse audiences across Texas and beyond. The role also includes event planning and management..

What You’ll Do:

  • Write and design newsletters, press releases, social content, and website updates
  • Create short-form video, graphics, and photography for campaigns and promotions
  • Manage content calendars, track performance, and refine tactics based on analytics
  • Serve as media contact and maintain a consistent brand identity
  • Keep the website fresh with updated pages, images, and user-friendly layouts
  • Plan and manage TAMI events and the Texas Film Round-Up (some in-state travel required) 

You Might Be a Fit If You Have:

  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills
  • Experience with content creation, social media, and email marketing
  • Graphic design and video editing skills (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar)
  • Basic photography or visual content skills
  • Familiarity with website platforms like WordPress or Squarespace
  • A detail-oriented, collaborative mindset with strong time management
  • Knowledge of Texas history or archives is a plus!
