Job Summary

At Getty Digital, we’re re-imagining how we use data, software, and systems to provide a deeply linked and consistent experience for staff, scholars, researchers, and enthusiasts as they explore the rich and complex information held across the organization. You will play a central role in our digital preservation program in an environment dedicated to collaboration and continuous improvement.

This is a four-year limited-term position to temporarily expand our team during Getty’s strategic digital transformation initiative.

We are looking for an experienced and user-centered professional to support our Rosetta digital preservation system and our Feith record management (both physical and electronic) system. Reporting to the Product Manager for Digital Preservation, you will be a member of the Collection Platforms & Data team within Getty Digital. In this role you will interact with librarians, archivists, curators, records managers, and subject matter experts from our cultural heritage programs. Additionally, you will engage with project managers, technologists, software developers, and infrastructure staff in Getty Digital.

In addition to daily system management activities, you will work directly with staff to keep abreast of current operations and needs, leverage system capabilities to increase departmental efficiencies, integrate applications, advance interoperability, and advocate for system improvements with our vendors. This position will play a crucial part in a five-year strategic initiative to increase our capabilities in digital preservation, including fully implementing electronic records management across the organization in partnership with the Institutional Records and Archives team.

The Getty is among the world’s most prestigious cultural heritage organizations, dedicated to furthering the study of the history of art. You will work on an amazing campus amongst fabulous art, architecture, and archives, collaborating with world-class scientists, curators, librarians, archivists, and academics. We offer 4 weeks of vacation a year, every other Friday off and excellent benefits.  Learn more about our benefits.
