SALARY: £29,400 p.a.
The Yorkshire Film Archive is seeking an experienced Archive Collections Cataloguer for a York, UK-based, 12-month fixed-term post to organise, catalogue, and create contextual documentation in order to provide wider access to the Ukrainian Video Archive Society (UVAS) collection.
The Society is based in Bradford, England, and the UVAS collection comprises over 500 videotapes, recorded on VHS / Betamax formats (approximately 750 hours of footage) filmed over a period of 30 years. This unique collection captures an astonishing range of events, traditions, and cultural activities.
The successful candidate will have a postgraduate qualification or equivalent professional library / archival collections-based experience, a demonstrable knowledge of cataloguing principles, metadata standards, curatorship in the cultural heritage sector, and an appreciation of working with culturally diverse collections.
