The Reel Thing: August 20-22, 2015 in Los Angeles

Registration is now open for the  35th Reel Thing Technical Symposium.  Held at the Linwood Dunn Theatre in Hollywood, The Reel Thing will run August 20-22, opening with a reception and screening on August 20th, The Reel Thing will , to take place in Los Angeles over the course of three days, August 20 – 22, 2015, including an opening night reception and screening on August 20.

The Reel Thing focuses on the wide range of critical issues facing archivists, technicians, asset managers and curators of image and sound in the current media/digital landscape. Bringing together  a unique line up of laboratory technicians, archivists, new media technologists and preservationists, The Reel Thing creates a common ground for discussion and evaluation of methodologies so that informed decisions can be made about when and how to deploy both traditional and emerging technologies.
