Elections Manual Review: Feedback from Members

Dear AMIA Members,

The AMIA Elections Committee is seeking input from AMIA Members regarding the AMIA Elections Manual. In order to encourage a broad review and collaboration between the Elections Committee and the Membership, we have set up three methods for members to review and comment on the manual.

1) Google Docs:

A version of the manual in available in Google Docs so that members may comment and discuss upon the document.

2) GitHub:
https://github.com/amiaopensource/amia-elections
The manual has also been formatted into markdown and uploaded into a GitHub repository of the AMIA Open Source committee for the Elections Committee.

3) Email
The AMIA Elections Manual is at http://amianet.org/sites/all/files/Manual%20Elections%202012.pdf.  You may send your comments and recommendations about the Elections Manual via email to Michele Winn, Elections Committee Chair, at michelewinn@gmail.com.

Please note, this review process does not itself create new policy. The Election Committee will aggregate comments from today until September 1, 2016 and may, pending responses, submit recommended changes to the AMIA Board for consideration.
